I am a British contemporary fine artist based in Coín, Málaga, working under the name Art by Poppet. My journey into painting began in May 2025, during a period of personal reflection and change. Entirely self-taught, I work primarily in acrylics, combining realism with expressive colour, layered textures and atmospheric depth. My work spans wildlife, portraiture and landscapes, exploring themes of strength, vulnerability, resilience and the emotions that often lie beneath the surface.

I am drawn to subjects that carry a powerful sense of presence, whether it’s the quiet intensity of a portrait, the commanding strength of a wild animal or the warmth and light of Andalucía. Each painting is an opportunity to express something beyond what is immediately visible, inviting the viewer to pause, feel and discover their own connection with the work. What began as a personal journey has grown into a dedicated artistic practice, with my paintings now exhibited locally in Andalucía. I sign my work simply as Poppet, a childhood nickname given to me by my grandmother.
